Mr. Music Program Policies

Payment Terms

Lessons are sold in blocks of four, payable the first week of each month to your instructor. On those months in which there are five lesson days, lessons will be sold in blocks of five, payable the first week of the month. Payment must be received prior to the lesson time otherwise the time-slot may be lost. Acceptable forms of payment include cash and check paid directly to your music instructor. Please make checks payable to your music instructor.

Attendance Policy

Mr. Music’s attendance policy regards regular and consistent attendance to be critical in the learning process. Simply put, the student must be present in order for any progress to be made. Your lesson time slot is reserved for you. Your instructor relies on your attendance to make a living. If you do not attend, they take a cut in pay. However, Mr. Music also recognizes that sometimes there can be a conflict in scheduling. In trying to balance the two out, Mr. Music has adopted the following attendance policy:

  • A student may call in to excuse themselves from a lesson only once in any eight week period. That lesson will be made up as a credit on your next month’s bill.
  • A student that is a no-call, no-show for two consecutive weeks will be removed from the schedule.
  • Due to limited space and time availability, missed lessons cannot be re-scheduled.
  • If a student will be absent for an extended period of time (3 weeks or more) the time slot cannot be held without being paid for in advance.
  • Severe weather or school closings may affect lessons. Please call Mr. Music (483-8230) to find out whether or not lessons have been canceled.
  • If the instructor is absent you will not be charged for the lesson and it will be made up as a credit on your next month’s bill. Please make sure Mr. Music has your phone number so that we can notify you on those occasions when the instructor is absent.
  • During the calendar year Mr. Music will not have lessons on the following dates:

    Memorial Day
    Fourth of July
    Labor Day
    Thanksgiving Day
    Christmas Eve
    Christmas Day
    New Years Eve
    New Years Day
