1946 Buescher Big B Alto Saxophone

 For your consideration is this lovely vintage Buescher Alto Saxophone. Serial number 309xxx this particular sax was produced circa 1946. This model is commonly referred to as "the Big B" due to the large B engraved into the bell. This sax retains it original lacquer finish and original rollers. Some of the other special features of this horn are the screw in Norton springs, original key pearls, and all new pads using the original snap in metal resonators. This horn is in very good condition considering it is an 65 year old instrument.

The body of the horn is in nice shape with no dents or dings to speak of. The neck is original to the sax, is also in fine shape and includes the original white plastic mouthpiece. Unfortunately, the original case is long gone and it will come with a used case.

We have gone completely through this horn. All new pads, corks, felts, etc.... and it is ready to go. It is a surprisingly easy sax to play, has a very accurate intonation throughout the register, and has a nice warm tone to it. If you are looking for a vintage sax but just don't want to spend the big bucks for a mark vi, than this is the horn for you.
